I actually created something

I was itch'n to make something last night. I have been doing not much of anything besides checking out the great Stampin Up demonstrator blogs and their great work.
This is as far as I got. I have so many distractions at home. The kids, the dog, the husband, the phone...etc. As I was making this box my 7 yr old was playing on the computer. About every 2 min she would say......'Mom, Mom'. I would say...'What?'
This continued for a while before I said loudly...."WHAT?" ha ha ha, I'm laughing now because it reminds me of the show family guy. I don't watch it but my 15 yr. old son showed me the scene where the kid keeps saying mom, mom, mom etc.
I have such a hard time stamping, scrapbooking or anyother craft project. I get really frustrated when I keep getting interupted. How do you manage it all?
I did not create this box, I made this box with the Stampin up Fancy Favor box Sizzix die and DSP called, Sending love specialty. Cute and simple. It needs something else but I just can't seem to think of anything to do. I got the 'paper' ruffle idea from another SU gal's blog but I'm sorry, I can't remember who. This box would be perfect filled with Hershy's kisses. :)

Hello

Hello to all the SU demo's who might be visiting my much neglected blog. I thought that I was busy before.........geesh, I keep looking at other SU blogs, I'm being consumed! LOL! It's been fun to see other SU blogs and all the wonderful artwork.
I am very motivated to get my SU business up and going, I've been very lazy lately. Actually, I have been crazy busy with the holidays and family stuff.
I will try to create and post things soon. I hope that you will check in again.:D

thank you gift

I whipped this up for a friend, there is a package of coconut M & M's inside. :)
The butterfly is from the 'flight of the butterfly' set. I stamped it and then used the new butterfly punch to punch it out, so easy.....love it! I then applied Crystal effects to the wings to add a bit of shine. I think this project is too tall, I'll shorten it next time.
I'm hoping to have Halloween and fall cards made soon. It's really hard for me to create when the kids are home. I think I will get more done once school starts...........I hope anyway. ;)
Thanks for stopping by.

Stampin girls night out

My friends made these two cards last night instead of the little bird cards. I had a really busy day yesterday and was not real organized but I think my friends had fun anyway.
I will hold another card class next month, I'll be more organized for that one.......I promise. :)

scrap paper card

I needed to make a birthday card quickly, so I grabbed my scraps and went to work. It's not one of my best cards, that's for sure but it was fast to make and only cost pennies. :) It literally only took me 5 min to put this together.
Gotta love........fast, cheap and not to mention reducing waste. I stamped the balloon and then used water color pencils and my SU Aqua painter. (love that tool)
I was not going to post this card, as it's not so great but decided that I would to show you that it's possible to create with scraps.
I hope you all have a wondeful 4th of July.

New cards

I have to admit, I did not like this stamp set at all when I first saw it in the new spring/summer catalog. Then I started seeing it used in cards and fell in love. The set is called 'Fifth Avenue Floral'. I love how simple and elegant it is. I chose to leave the flowers outlined and not colored but they are also beautiful water colored.
The sentiment on the first card is from the 'on your birthday set'.
Thanks for stopping by. :)

Get well card

Hi,
This is my first card using the All in the Family stamp set from Stampin Up. I love this set but it requires a bit more time to use them. All the bodies and faces are separate so you need to use the Stamp a ma jig to be sure everything is centered. It's nice having the stamps separate because that way, you get more choices to customize your little people.

I'm not fond of this card, so I will continue playing with the set until I finally get the hang of it.

Thanks for stopping by.

Gift can

Hi
I was in a hurry yesterday and was only able to post the pictures of the gift can and shopping list.
I wanted to explain how the gift can works. I opened it from the bottom, so the tab top was intact. That way, I can fill the can with treats and glue the bottom back on. Then when the recipient gets the gift, they pull the tab on the top to open. :) I love this idea!

I really want to create today but I should do housework instead. I bought a reallly cute set, I can't wait to use them. I'll post something soon. :)

Last day today...........

Today is the last day to place an order from the Fall/Winter catalog. If you would like to order something, just head on over to my SU website. http://www.stampinup.net/esuite/home/happytobestampin/

I went to my upline's open house yesterday, it was so fun, I learned a lot and I now can't wait to teach you all about stamping. The problem I've had is finding a place to do this. My house is out, since my husband works crazy hours. I will search this next week...once again. I'm taking my car in to be fixed on Monday and will not have it for a week. :( I'll keep you posted on a date.
Thanks for being patient.
:)
